MEASURING
INSTRUCTIONS

1. Measure the Overall Fabric Length
Using a tape measure, take the following measurements on your boat making sure you measure from 15-30cm below the point of the bow of the boat (assume this is where the hem of the cover will be) all the way back to 15-30cm below the stern, ensuring the tape measure goes over the windscreen.
If you have a Bimini, ensure this is folded down and resting on the gunwales and that when you measure from bow to stern the tape measure goes over the folded-down Bimini.
If you have a permanent Bimini or other similar structure mounted on your boat, this style of cover will not be suitable for your boat. Please look at the Jumbo-style semi-custom covers.

2. Measure the Overall Fabric Width
Using a tape measure, take a measurement 15-30cm below the widest part of your boat on the Port side gunnel and across to 15-30cm below the opposite Starboard gunnel ensuring that the measurement goes over the highest part of the boat, ie, windscreen.

Once you have these 2 overall measurements refer to the below table showing the overall cover dimensions for each size of cover offered and match up to arrive at the best fit for your boat.

1. Measure Boat Length
Measure in a straight line the centreline distance of your boat from Bow to Stern.

2. Measure Beam Width
Measure in a straight line the distance across the beam (widest point of your boat)

3. Measure Height (from gunwale)
Measure a straight line from the gunwale to the highest point on your boat including boat fittings e.g.cabins, windscreens etc.

NOTE:  It is recommended that both measurement instructions are used to help you choose the correct cover size.

Oceansouth began in 1985 in a small garage in Melbourne, Australia as a part-time project making boat ladders and bimini tops. It quickly grew into a global leader in the design and manufacturing of marine accessories. The company expanded its product line beyond its initial offerings, becoming an industry innovator known for blending functionality with style. This reputation for quality led to national recognition in Australia and a move to a larger manufacturing facility in 1990.

In 2012, Oceansouth established its divisional headquarters in Miami, marking its entry into the U.S. market with the aim of expanding its global presence and bringing Oceansouth to the world. This expansion into the U.S.A. was a huge success, leading to further growth in North America and setting the stage for Oceansouth’s foray into the European sector in 2014, with its European base established in Germany.

With our products now sold in 94 countries worldwide, Oceansouth is the premier market leader in marine and boating accessories.

How do I measure my boat?
Check out the video on how to measure – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AlPBMaiWH4Q
Otherwise scroll down to the overall measurement instructions and you will see a guide on how to measure your boat.

How do I tell the difference between the T-Top or Pilot Covers?
T-Tops are made specifically to go over boats with a T-Top.
Pilot covers are made for pilot cruiser type boats.

Are they trailerable?
Yes the covers are trailerable (once tied down). For long distance highway travel, we always recommend adding some additional straps over the top. This stops the cover from flapping which prolongs the cover lifespan.

How should I clean my cover?
-To clean your cover, use a soft brush and lukewarm water
-Do not use harsh laundry soap or chemical detergent as they may damage the protective UV coating on your cover.
-A mild, soapy detergent (even dishwashing liquid) is perfect to remove dirt and grim.
-For the more stubborn and in ground stains, we recommend using a polyester canvas cleaner available from most camping and auto stores.
-Air dry
Note: To prolong the life of your cover it must be clean and completely dry before storing.

How to avoid rain/water pooling in the cover?
Check out our support pole in the link – https://oceansouth.gr/product/boat-cover-support-pole-kit/
This will allow the rain/water to run straight off the cover.

Will sharp object poke through the fabric?
To extend the cover’s lifespan, reinforce any stressed areas with extra fabric such as foam or a towel to prevent potential punctures over time.

Can Oceansouth modify a cover specifically to my needs?
No, we do not produce or alter bespoke orders to specific customer requirements. However, you can take our covers to a marine trimmer for any necessary modifications. Please be aware that such modifications may void the warranty.

Can I Return or exchange the product if it does not fit?
Yes, as long as the product has not been damaged. Contact [email protected] to find out how to organise the return.
